One of the many things that we (Travis) are obsessed with is Sim racing. Travis grew up surrounded with racing, but wasn’t able to participate. So at the ripe ol’ age of 34 he invested in getting a sim-rig (he will argue that Ken Block didn’t start racing until 35 as a justification of why it means he’s a world class talent). Now he races in an iRacing league called SimStock Racing League (SSRL).

This season, season 3, they are switching to racing the Trucks from the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks series for the first time. Previously the SSRL had raced the ARCA Cars.

Last season in the SSRL, Travis ended up finishing a respectable 8th in the final standings with 1 podium, 6 top 5s, 14 top 10s, 13 laps led.

This season Travis’ looks to improve on last seasons results.

“Last season was my rookie season. I don’t think that the stats match how good I did during the season. Many of my bad results weren’t the result of my actions, but bad luck in being midfield. We had some good races, but not necessarily good finishes. This season we’re going to focus on finishing well and improving our finishes from last season. Don’t be surprised when we get more top 5s…or even a win!”

The 3rd season of the SSRL begins on September 29th for a 165 lap clash race at Thompson Speedway! October 13th is the official start of the season at Daytona!
